The
Bwindi Jungle Lodge is situated on the lake Mulehe in the Mucha region, roughly
10 kilometers from Kisoro town along the Rubuguri road. The distance between
Rushaga and Nkuringo and the southern gate of Bwindi National Park is roughly
20 km. The cottages at this lodge are constructed from local volcanic stones
and wood, and each one has an elevated verandah with a view of Lake Mulehe.

The
Bwindi Jungle Lodge is situated on the lake Mulehe in the Mucha region, roughly
10 kilometers from Kisoro town along the Rubuguri road. The distance between
Rushaga and Nkuringo and the southern gate of Bwindi National Park is roughly
20 km. The lodge is a few kilometers away distant from Kisoro Airstrip, which
serves as the landing area for domestic aircraft from Entebbe Airport that
connect to the Southern portion of Bwindi National Park.
This
is a stunning spot that is perfect for tourism activities in Mgahinga National
Park and Bwindi National Park (Southern sector). With a natural bay on the
lake’s shores and a natural birdwatching habitat, the resort, which is tucked
away in a forest, enjoys the tranquility of the lake. The bungalows at Bwindi
Jungle Lodge are constructed from native volcanic stones and wood, and each one
has an elevated porch with a view of Lake Mulehe.

Lake Mulehe Canoe Boat Ride The guided
canoe journey in Lake Mulehe lasts roughly two hours, beginning from Pelicans,
African Jacana, kingfishers, cormorants, fish eagles, and many other bird
species can be seen at the dock surrounding Lake Mulehe, especially for
birdwatching in the river Mucha delta. Visit the fishing location and a few
islets as you continue your journey at your own pace.
Visit
to Echuya Forest by Batwa
The Batwa are the original residents
of the Echuya Forest Reserve. They were evicted from the forest and are now
responsible for protecting it. They will give you an overview of their way of
life, including how they hunt, harvest, and live. Additionally, you can enjoy a
stunning view of Lake Bunyonyi and the surrounding landscapes.
There are also great picnic spots in
this woodland. This exercise can take four to five hours, and it begins at 9:00
a.m. Mountain gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable may need one to five
hours of climbing and trekking up the tranquil hills. In contrast to gorilla
habituation clients, who spend more time searching for the gorillas and then
spending four hours in the wild with them to observe their behavior, tracking
participants spend an hour with the gorillas after they first meet them. This
is because the alpha male (silver back) takes charge of the family while the
young play with the mothers. On Lake Mulehe, villages stroll.You will connect
with a family of farmers here as they demonstrate how to construct bee hives
and how crops like matooke, in this region, rice, beans, and bananas are grown.
You can also see the meal being prepared from the house, and the leader of the
household will share stories about traditional music, dances, and Bafumbira
culture. Following the encounter, you continue walking up the hills, passing
more gardens, some plants, fruits, and vegetables as you make your way to
Muhanga hamlet. There, you can speak with the students at Muhanga Primary and
Secondary Government School. It’s roughly a 2-kilometer stroll. To return to
the lodge, slope to the dock where the canoe is waiting.
