Itinerary
Day 1 :
Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Jinja - Visit the Sezibwa Falls and Source of the Nile Sunset Cruise
Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Entebbe, followed by a scenic drive to Jinja. En route, you will make a stop at Sezibwa Falls, a serene and culturally significant site. The falls, which are about 7 meters high, are steeped in traditional folklore and believed to have spiritual powers.
Continue your journey to Jinja. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and have lunch at one of the charming local eateries. In the late afternoon, head to the Source of the Nile for a sunset boat cruise. This leisurely cruise takes you to the exact spot where the Nile River (the longest river in the world) begins its long journey north to the Mediterranean Sea. As you glide along the calm waters, enjoy the picturesque views, spot various bird species, and take in the serene ambiance as the sun sets over the river.
Day 2 :
Day 2: White Water Rafting in Jinja Uganda
Prepare for an adrenaline-filled day with white water rafting on the Nile River. After a hearty breakfast, you will be briefed on safety and rafting techniques by professional guides. The Nile's rapids range from mild to wild, providing an exhilarating experience for both beginners and seasoned rafters. Paddle through the powerful rapids, navigate the challenging waves, and enjoy the thrill of this ultimate adventure. The rafting trip typically includes a picnic lunch on the riverbank, giving you a chance to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings.
For those seeking even more excitement, Jinja offers additional optional activities such as bungee jumping and quad biking. Bungee jumping involves leaping off a high platform above the Nile and experiencing an exhilarating free fall before being safely pulled back up. Alternatively, you can opt for quad biking, which takes you on a thrilling ride through the scenic countryside and local villages on the banks of the Nile River, providing a unique way to explore the area.
Day 3 :
On your final day in Jinja, take the morning to explore the town’s vibrant streets. Visit the local markets, where you can shop for handmade crafts, jewelry, and souvenirs. Jinja's colonial architecture and colorful buildings make it a charming place to wander around, and you might want to stop by some of the town's cafes and enjoy a coffee or a local delicacy.
After exploring Jinja, begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. En route, you will stop at Mabira Forest for an exhilarating ziplining experience. Mabira Forest is one of Uganda's largest rainforests, and its ziplining course takes you through the forest canopy, offering a bird’s-eye view of the lush greenery below. The course includes several zip lines that vary in length and height, providing an exciting and unique way to experience the forest.
Following your ziplining adventure, continue your drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your accommodation or the airport, marking the end of an unforgettable trip filled with adventure, natural beauty, and cultural experiences.
