How to Get There
From Entebbe or Kampala, it takes a full day to drive to Buhoma in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; from Lake Mburo National Park, it takes six hours. The Ishasha Sector is two hours’ drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park. Depending on the state of the roads, scheduled light-aircraft flights arrive at the adjacent Kihihi airport twice a day, which is about 90 to 120 minutes’ drive from Buhoma.
Additionally, flights to Kihihi can be chartered from Entebbe or other destinations in Uganda or other major East African hubs. Turn left at the roundabout from Kihihi, then left again a few hundred meters later .After around 8 km, turn right at the Kanyantorogo roundabout and continue on the most-traveled route, following the signs to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
