Masai Mara

Overview

Eleven days Enchanted Nairobi is where Kenya and Tanzania National Parks begin and finish. For the purpose of observing wildlife and bird species, it leads you through the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Parks.

 

Day 1: Pick up from Nairobi city/Jomo Kenyatta Airport to Masai Mara Reserve

At the waiting area, your guide will be prepared to take you to Masai Mara. Before continuing on to the Masai Mara, you will make a photo stop at the Rift Valley. When you get there, you can choose to go on a game drive in the evening or just rest at your lodge all day while you wait for supper and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Full day game drive exploring Masai Mara

We will check out with our packed lunch for a full-day game drive after breakfast. In addition to many other sightings, such as the stunning speckled savannah landscape, we will be looking for the big five, large cats, and bird species.

We might be fortunate enough to see the wildebeest traversing the Mara River. It is a marvel of the globe, full of surprises and activities. We will finish up our game drives after lunch in the lovely shade of the acacia trees before returning to the camp in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Depart Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru National park

Depending on the state of the roads, it will take us roughly six to seven hours to get to Lake Nakuru. We will check into the designated tented camp or resort and have lunch there.

Following lunch, we will decide whether to go on a quick or short safari at Lake Nakuru Park.

Our guide will assist us in identifying various wildlife and bird species, including the larger and lesser flamingos, white rhinos, and some large cats, like lions and leopards.

 Day 4: Transfer from Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park

We will take a lengthy trip to Amboseli National Park following breakfast. We’ll go on a game drive on the way out of the park. The journey to Amboseli National Park via the Kimana Gate takes eight hours, passing through crowded towns and cities.

Settling down for our late lunch at the lodge or camp. For a full-day game drive tomorrow, we will advise taking the evening off today.While we wait for dinner and our overnight stay, we will unwind at our camp or resort.

Day 5: Full day game drive in Amboseli national park

After breakfast, we will pack a picnic and head to the park for an exciting wildlife drive. If it’s a lovely and fortunate day, we might be able to see the ice-capped Mount Kilimanjaro.

Numerous wildlife and bird species, as well as stunning scenery and fascinating Masai cultures, may be found in Amboseli National Park. Lunch will be provided at the well-known View Point, which overlooks the stunning Lake Amboseli. As we make our way to the lodge or camp for rest, dinner, and an overnight stay, we will later go on a game drive.

Day 6: Transfer to Arusha city for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, leave the resort or camp and head directly to the Namanga Border via the Mishanani Gate, where you will be picked up by your Tanzanian counterpart for another wildlife safari.

After that, you will be driven to Arusha for refreshments and to make plans for your subsequent visit to Tanzania.

Day 7: Arusha – Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, depart the accommodation and make your way to Serengeti National Park.

Before we check into our camp or resort, our drive will take about seven or eight hours. We’ll get there in time for lunch. After that, unwind and go on a two-hour game drive in search of the big five and cats.

Day 8: Full day game drive as you are exploring Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, we will pack a lunch and head off for a full day of game viewing, where we hope to see big cats, the Big Five, and other animals, including birds.

One of the largest national parks, the Serengeti is home to millions of wildebeest that migrate through it and then to the Masai Mara. We might be fortunate enough to see some large river crossings and massive migrations. You will be fortunate to see some newborns throughout the calving season. We will enjoy a game drive on the way to the camp or lodge following our lunch break in the refreshing shade of acacia trees.

Day 9: Depart Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater

We will depart from our camp and travel to Ngorongoro Crater following an incredible two nights in the Serengeti. Before starting our two-hour game drive, we will arrive in time for lunch, settle into our tents or lodge, and refuel.

The stunning, well-known Ngorongoro crater, which is home to thousands of animals, will be visible to us. We will check into our camp or lodge later that evening for dinner and the night.

Day 10: Transfer from Ngorongoro crater to Lake Manyara National Park

We will be visiting Lake Manyara National Park for a two-hour drive before continuing on to Nairobi via the Arusha Namanga Border, so get up early for breakfast and be ready for check-out. Lunch will be provided in the city of Arusha. When you first arrive in Nairobi, check into our hotel or camp for some refreshments and rest before supper and your overnight stay.

Day 11: Transfer to the Airport to catch up with your flight back home

Following a leisurely breakfast, we will check out of the hotel with our bags, pay a brief visit to David Sheldrick and the Giraffe Center, and then head to Carnivore for lunch. This concludes your 11-day tour of the Magical Kenya and Tanzania National Parks.
