You can see buffalos, elephants, warthogs, lions, and other wildlife on a fantastic game drive along the Kasenyi route in Queen Elizabeth National Park as part of the 5-day Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Queen Elizabeth Safari. Additionally, you will have a launch cruise around the Kazinga Channel, where you can see crocodiles, hippos, and other birds.This five-day safari trip also includes gorilla trekking in Uganda in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Itinerary for the 5 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Queen Elizabeth safari
Day 1: Transfer to Que Following breakfast, you will travel over the Great Rift Valley’s western rim to western Uganda.
En route to the Equator Park break for photos and a water experiment. Additionally, you will make a stop at Mpigi (Mpambire drum village) to observe the ceremonial drums constructed from indigenous materials. You will then continue on to Mbarara town for lunch. In the evening, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Mountain Rwenzori’s foothills are where the park is located (Mountains of the Moon).
Day 2: Game Drive and Launch Cruise
You will start by eating breakfast early in the morning. After that, you’ll head out for the game drive along the Kasenyi route to see buffalo, elephants, warthogs, lions, leopards, and other wildlife. After that, have lunch at the lodge. After that, you will leave for the two-hour Kazinga Channel launch cruise. You may get up close and personal with crocodiles, hippopotamuses, and numerous bird species here.
Dinner and overnight accommodations at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge for luxury, or Simba Safari Camp for budget travelers or Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge or Irungu Forest Safari Lodge for mid-range travelers.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Following breakfast, you will travel through the Ishasha sector to reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This region is well-known for its uncommon tree-climbing lions. Have lunch in Ishasha after the game drive, and then continue on to Bwindi. Dinner and overnight accommodations at Wagtail Safari Camp for budget travelers, Silverback Lodge for mid-range/Buhoma community Bandas, or Gorilla Resort Camp or Gorilla Forest Camp for luxury travelers, or Lake Kitandara Tented Camp.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Following an early breakfast, assemble at the Buhoma Park headquarters for a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority’s Ranger Guide. You will also receive a briefing on the Gorilla tracking protocol. After completing this, you will embark with your lunch in hand and venture into the jungle bush in pursuit of the endangered mountain gorillas. Tracking gorillas can take anywhere from two to ten hours, depending on the circumstances.
Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
You will have lunch in Mbarara town on the way back to Kampala after breakfast. Arrive at Kampala late in the afternoon. You will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
