In addition to visiting two East African nations, this 13-day Uganda Adventure Safari allows you to obtain an East African tourist visa. With the possibility of spotting the endangered primates (Chimpanzees and Mountain Gorillas) in Kibale National Park, Volcanoes National Park, and Bwindi Forest National Park, this safari will take you across the stunning country.

 

In the savannah parks of Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison Falls National Park, you can also anticipate seeing the Big Five: lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos, and elephants. Detailed itinerary

 

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport – Hotel

Depending on your arrival time, meet your driver at the Entebbe airport and proceed to your reserved lodge in either Entebbe or Kampala. Spend the night at the Skyz Naguru Hotel or 2 Friends Beach Hotel for a mid-range stay, or Papyrus Guesthouse or Forest Cottages for a budget stay.

 

Day 2: Transfer to Jinja

Our company representative will meet you at the airport and take you to Jinja town, which is around three to four hours away by car, depending on traffic. After arriving, check into the hotel you have reserved, eat lunch, and relax for a bit before visiting the Nile’s source in the afternoon. Go back to the hotel for dinner and spend the night there. Jinja Nile Resort offers luxurious accommodations, while the mid-range Friends Guesthouse and the budget-friendly Nile Front Cottages

 

Day 3: White water rafting and Visit Source of the Nile boat cruise on Lake Victoria

After breakfast, meet your driver and get ready for a full day of water rafting on the Nile. After a briefing, you will receive the rafting equipment needed for the sport. Connect to the lodge after rafting to rest and get ready for a leisurely sunset boat ride on Lake Victoria. After dinner, head back to your resort to spend the night there.

 

Day 4: Transfer to Murchison falls national park and Ziwa rhino sanctuary

After breakfast, your driver/guide will come get you to begin the trip at the hotel. Set out for Murchison Falls National Park, which is roughly 6-7 hours away by car, stopping along the way to track rhinos at Ziwa rhino sanctuary. The only location in Uganda where rhinos can be seen is here. After being briefed, you will begin your search for the rhinos, after which you will be permitted to observe and photograph them.  After lunch, head to the lodge you have reserved for rest, dinner, and overnight accommodations at Tilenga Safari Lodge for low-cost lodging, Pakuba Safari Lodge for mid-range lodging, or Paraa Safari Lodge for luxury lodging.

 

Day 5: Morning game drive and Boat cruise and evening game drive  top of the falls visit

After breakfast at your lodge, head to the delta for an early morning game drive in the park’s northern region. Elephants, giraffes, lions, hyenas, cape buffaloes, leopards (on a good day), and several antelope species, such as the Uganda Kobs, Jackson hartebeest, Oribi, and waterbucks, are among the animals you might see here. Return to your lodge to rest and eat lunch after the game drive.  You will take a boat trip to view the stunning falls along the River Nile in the afternoon. You may see the park’s streaming hippo and serried ranges of crocodiles along the sandbanks, as well as several bird species and a multitude of animal species descending, by cruising around the bottom of the falls.

 

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale national park (5-6 hours)

Following breakfast at your lodge, travel to Kibale National Park in western Uganda, making stops along the way to stretch and have lunch. Connect to visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary once you arrive. Butterflies, flora, and animals especially birds and primates abound in the reserve. Birdwatchers will be particularly interested in impressive birds like the uncommon Papyrus Gonolek and Great Blue Turaco. More elusive creatures like Sitatunga antelope and Red Colobus monkeys can also be found in the wetland. Additionally, you will get the chance to engage with the community and see nearby community projects that have been funded by tourism. Dinner and overnight accommodations at the mid-range Chimpanzee Forest Lodge, the low-cost Kibale Forest Lodge, or the upscale Primes Lodge

 

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking activity – transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Drive to the Kibale Park headquarters for a chimpanzee briefing after breakfast. Enter the jungle and begin your journey to see the chimpanzees in their natural environment. It will take two to five hours to locate them, and once you do, you will have an hour to spend with them as they swing from the branches high above the forest floor.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park following your hike and lunch. The drive takes roughly three hours. Connect to your reserved lodge upon arrival for rest, dinner, and an overnight stay at Bush Lodge for a low-cost stay, Elephant Hub Lodge for a mid-range stay, or Elephant Plains Lodge for a luxurious stay.

 

Day 8: Morning game drive – Boat cruise along the Kazinga channel

Following breakfast, you will embark on an early-morning wildlife drive where you will come across various antelopes, buffaloes, elephants, waterbuck, and Uganda Kob. If you’re lucky, you’ll see lions, hyenas, and leopards.

After lunch, take a two-hour launch cruise into Lake Edward via the Kazinga Channel. During this trip, you will be able to sail through an area with the largest concentration of hippos and possibly spot a lot of animals drinking at the water’s edge. Additionally, the voyage provides an excellent setting for games, photography, and bird watching. Dinner and lodging at the lodge as mentioned above

 

Day 9: Ishasha game drive -transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

After breakfast, make your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha area, which is home to the lions that climb trees. Join us for a game drive in the afternoon where you may be able to spot lions that climb trees.

After lunch on the way, drive for four to five hours to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check in at your lodge while you get ready for the activities of the next day. Dinner and overnight stay at Silverback Safari Lodge for luxury, Buhoma Community Rest Camp for budget, or Buhoma Haven Lodge for mid-range.

 

Day 10: Gorilla trekking experience

After breakfast, you will be taken to the park offices where a native guide will give you a briefing on mountain gorilla trekking. Depending on the gorillas’ movements, the duration often ranges from two to eight hours. Unexpected encounters with gorillas are among the most fascinating life events. You will have the opportunity to see and snap close-up photos. Adults will be feeding and moaning with one another. Following an hour spent with the eagerly anticipated gorillas, you will be led back to the starting point by your guide and rangers, where your driver will be ready to take you back to the resort. You might participate in an optional community tour, depending on when you get back from the trekking activity. Eat dinner and spend the night at the resort.

 

Day 11: Explore Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, make your way to Lake Bunyonyi to have a canoe ride around the lake. After all of the hiking, here is the place to unwind. With roughly 29 islands, including the punishment island, Bushara, Bwama, and Njuyeera islands, to name a few, Lake Bunyonyi is the second-deepest lake in Africa. Best of all, unlike other lakes, Lake Bunyonyi is Bilharzia, hippo and crocodile-free, with crystal-clear swimming waters encircled by steep terraced slopes. Following lunch, you can either unwind at the lodge, go zip-lining for free, or engage in any other thrilling activity you like. Come back and unwind at the lodge, which offers stunning views of the lake and the hills. Supper and overnight stay at lodge as above

 

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park guided walking safari

After breakfast in the morning, you will go to Lake Mburo National Park. Arriving at the resort in time for lunch requires a drive of around four hours. Join a walking safari later in the day to explore the park and its inhabitants on foot. You may see zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, and other creatures. Return to your lodge for some rest, dinner, and a night’s stay at Eagles Nest Lodge for a more affordable alternative, Arcadia Cottages Lake Mburo for a more affordable one, or Mihingo Safari Lodge for a more upscale one.

 

Day 13: Transfer back to Entebbe and Departure

Before you check out to start your journey to Entebbe, take a quick game drive after breakfast to locate some of the park’s missing residents. With a lunch break and a stop at the Uganda Equator along the way, the drive takes roughly five hours. Connect to the Entebbe airport when you arrive so you can check in for your subsequent trip home.
